The main theory of wind power generation is taking wind as the driving force, when the wind blows the impeller of wind turbine which transforms wind energy into mechanical energy, then the impeller drives the electric generator through speeding up the gear box, converts mechanical energy into electric energy and sends to the grid.
Onshore and offshore wind power control system includes the main control system, the pitch system, the remote monitoring system and so on. And Chenzhu’s products like signal isolators and surge protection devices can be applied to all these systems.
The purpose on applying signal isolators and surge protection devices to the main control system is to protect the equipment power supply and signal transmission from bad lightning and electromagnetic pulses. This is an important method to ensure the main control system’s safe operation.
The main function of pitch system which is in the wheel hub of the wind driven generator is to cooperate with the main control system, make sure that the generator can operate perfectly and optimize the security function of the system and achieve the maximum wind energy capture and constant speed operation by adjusting the inclination of blade according to the direction and the speed of the wind. Meanwhile, pitch system is also the main brake system of the wind driven generator. A complete AC or DC propeller converter system generally includes three motors (including brakes, encoders, temperature sensors, cooling fans, etc.), three shaft control cabinets with actuators and three standby power cabinets.
